Beyonce heads to Somerset …

The Glastonbury festival 2011 line up was revealed earlier this week ending speculation about who and who wasn’t gracing the stage at one of the worlds best known festivals.

From its humble beginnings on 19th September 1970 where 1500 people attended the first festival and paid just £1 to enter, Glastonbury as grown by 170% with 170,000 people attending in 2007. 2011 promises to be one of the most memorable for years with Some of
the worlds biggest names set to head to Somerset, including U2 who will headline the first night of the festival, a festival they haven’t attended for 27 years.

Coldplay will headline the pyramid stage on the Saturday night with beyonce wrapping up the festival on the Sunday. It is set to be a weekend to remember, with many up and coming acts gaining their first taste of the magic of Glastonbury.

With tickets for the festival selling out within 24 hours, thousands of fans will be hoping for sunshine come the 22nd of June but some will no doubt be rain dancing in hope of a famous ‘Glastonbury mud bath’ whatever the weather when the cider is flowing everyone’s sure for a good time.
